Welcome to the CARC Home Page

The Columbus Amateur Radio Club participated in the annual MUSEUM SHIPS event on June 9-10, 2007.  We operated from the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, GA, site of the remains of the CSS Jackson, one of the largest ironclads built in the south during the war.

We do offer both special QSL cards and Certificates upon proper confirmation of contact with the club station.  We would appreciate a SASE with the proper postage, depending on your preference.  Please be aware of the new postal rate changes that went into effect on May 14, 2007.  First class letter rates (for cards) are now $0.41. For certificates that are NOT folded, these will fit in a 9 x 12 envelope, which is now considered a "flat" and requires $0.80 postage for the first ounce.  If a standard size letter SASE is sent in for a certificate, it will be folded and will go under the $0.41 letter rate.  We appreciate your cooperation with these changes.

The Columbus Amateur Radio Club (C.A.R.C.) meets at 7:00 p.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month at one of the Columbus Public Libraries.  This sometimes changes, so to be sure, tune in on our Wednesday night check in - for better directions, call in on the 146.61 repeater and someone will help you find the library.
